Happy New Year!

It had been a long time since I visited this space. :)

Over the span of two months, yes two months, I felt as if I had travelled through a time warp. Two months felt like a year with so many new, refreshing experiences injected. I wished I had more time to savour each of these moments. Tough luck though, I'm back to reality, back to school.

& some news to share. I have a new revelation. I'm turning 23 this year. I will be graduating in 4 months. I'm probably gonna start working in 6 months, for real. Everything will be good.

The past year is obviously not a bed of lilies, there were many moments when I felt like giving up on many things including my dream. There were some when I had to let go of a relationship. & there were many times when I wanted to hide from God- there was once I wanted to walk out and never look back.

Today, out of the wormhole, stood a little girl, who looks up the sky in amazement of God's grace and mercy.

2012, will be my best yet. So y'all watch out :)

Here I am, spending my last night at Sherwood.

It has been a good 6 years, and I can't believe I am bidding it goodbye.. just like that. I mean, right after finals on friday, I went into the state of frenzy packing, never got to stop and admire the last beauty of the space...

I got emotionally attached to a dwelling easily :( It's hard to bid goodbye, but I think I am ready.

At least, moving to a new house, a new environment is like a new beginning for me. & having moles staying opposite is :))).

& it's 3 days to Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany! Can't wait! Thank God for making it possible. & thanks daddy for blessing me with this trip! :D

I have the mental habit to tag songs with the seasons in my life. Some songs remind me of euphoric moments, some reminds me of people, and some marked the depressing periods.

acceptance, how far will you go?

An incident set me thinking about the parameters of acceptance.

If I accepted someone as he/she is, resulting in hurting myself, do I still accept?

Here's my take.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

Ultimately, I have chosen to accept anyway because God first accepted us unconditionally - our all.

It's true, love drowns out all hurts.

On a side note, hearing from someone who has a different and harsher response to the same situation, it struck me that my perspectives have changed and became more matured. :)

Walk with faith, not by sight

It's the 4th week into school!

The past 3 weeks have been a bittersweet experience in school. We fought for our thoughts in team discussions, we wrestle (in a mutually beneficial way of course), we chided each other (without feeling offended).

I can't thank God enough, for his grace, to place me in this team. A team with the same vision, a team with no walls, a team who works together for the better of each other, a team that gives and takes.

Well, conflicts are inevitable. Especially when the D personals are at work, together. One night, I was so angry to a certain point, I lashed out my anger on twitter (which I regretted). Hahaha. & you know, humility works best under such situations. A simple 'sorry' and a weightless 'thank you' can soften hearts so easily :)

We worked for 21 days, 3 weeks, literally every single day in school.

Yesterday, our proposal was very well-received. & the most assuring statement came from this lecturer that was known for all his negative comments and criticism - "I have no problem with your proposal". *throw confetti* They were excited for us! That was the best part!

This calls for celebration!

SPAIN STUDY TRIP IS CONFIRMED!!!

Hahaha, remember I mentioned a grad trip to Spain? I was worrying that my parents wouldn't allow me to go, even with my own savings. Now what? A study trip? Hahahahaha. They would do anything for my studies :) Not only do I get to keep my savings, I get a fully sponsored trip!!!

Yay! Indeed, God is good. I remembered praying over an out-of-my-comfort offering, about Spain last week! When we give one fold, He gives back a hundred folds. & yes, it is exactly a hundred fold. (I should have expect more :p Hahahahaha)

Since young, Dad always tell me how I should be more bighearted (because I always throw tantrums over trivial issues in my kid and teen years) He shaped me in a way that I could never comprehend initially. As a C personality, I fear criticism and I fear to fail but as a daughter, he taught me how to deal with criticism and failures pretty well, with a big heart. :)

Oh dear. I looked back at my past entries. I have a one year love campaign that I wanted to 'fulfill'. It really takes faithfulness and discipline to do it. :)

Internship = Blessing

It's hard to describe how blessed I am, but none was taken for granted. Flexible timing, reasonable pay, get to rest, awesome mentor cum boss. What more can I ask for? ;)

Personally, I don't feel like I'm working! Regular teas with my loves, not missing out on many meetups. Personal time at home, sleeping like a log. Allowances payout on my off days, when the boss needs my help. 3 - 5 day week and early knock offs, with the backing of an understanding boss. Favour at the workplace, where people are patient to teach me.

How to find such an awesome internship?! :)

& I know all these are impossible without prayers and, most importanly, our Jehovah Jireh!

V and M wanted to spend more time at their hometown. I guess I can't understand how they felt about being away from home for almost a year. But, I'm a little disappointed because I gave up going to Jakarta free, for this trip.

It's okay! We would definitely be visiting next summer because I refuse to go during winter :)

& the good news is, I would have more allowance to spare during the semester because I had saved enough for the trip! Yipee! But that doesn't mean I will stop saving! I'm considering to materialize my Spain grad trip!

When you are down and out, stay close to people who nourishes you.

People who are lonely, turns to things to fill their emptiness. They have a load of unhappiness. You can be around people, but feeling lonely. Yet you can be alone, not feeling lonely.

The past months gave me a truck of emotion rollercoasters which I think I concealed it very well. I didn't want to share it to anyone because I didn't want to hear certain things. I didn't want words of comfort, I rejected all goodness. I kept thinking, in my mind, "I don't want to remember the pain."

But God really have a sense of humour. I didn't want to meet His people on a one to one, but He sent His son to meet me today.

Throughout the meeting, I was busy meddling with my phone, with my hair, looking around, anything but listening. It was till a certain point when his voice suddenly amplified to my ears, "You can bury your deepest and darkest pains under your skin, you can deceive the whole world, but your Father sees it." I was snapped out of my denial and began weeping.

I made a visit to Raffles Place at the wrongest time ever. 615pm. Leaving the subway, I was shuffling myself through the opposite herd. Almost everybody's faces were emotionless, some looked extremely lethargic, others looked like they have not catch a wink for days, while the few had smiles. It was a Tuesday evening. The staircase aisles were packed with people, yet, I could hardly hear any hint of civilization.

"Clark.. Clark.. Clark.." echoed the stilettos. I looked down and spotted a few Ferragamos within a one metre circumference. Damn, those feet biting ones.. Amazed by how well they concealed their pain, considering how red their feet were. Why are they willing to suffer with it? I asked myself the same question when my Varina gave me problems...

Shifting my eye to the waist level, a glance brought a whole new revelation. A few office ladies had LV neverfull hooked onto their shoulders while some had the black classic prada bag, one with the black Miu Miu coffer.

But.. what does all these possessions bring? None of them looked happy.

It reflects.. (yes, the economy is doing well) the parallel of status symbols.

I do not deny that I draw some form of confidence when I carry a brand, but there is still emptiness within me. That was until I found my identity, that He is my source of everything, that He could fill me and that brand doesn't matter anymore. :)

This is my most fulfilling holiday thus far :)

Although there were many tears behind the closed doors, there are many genuine laughter that filled my cup.

Psalms 61 has been my prayer.

Tutee was sharing her snippets of her life with me which left me in repugnance. I'm not in a position to comment on her upbringing but I question the trashy values that was instilled in her.

Her mom says she would rather only pay for tuition once a week, not twice, and spend the other 50 bucks on shopping. If tuition can't salvage her atrocious grades, I am sure shopping does. She always tell me, "I don't know what to do with my daughter." Hello? Shop less, stay at home and guide her in revision?!

Tutee always try to flaunt her possession (shirts from ZARA, Guess) to me. Initially, I took it like a pinch of salt until one unpleasant incident when she tried to look at my shirt tag. I burst her bubble of delusion - of thinking that she is very rich. All along in my heart, I dismissed all those in ridicule. First, if you want to flaunt, dont wear only the tees from those brands. Second, they meant nothing to me, since they are not very high end brands and more importantly, they are not of intangible value to me. Self-esteem rooted on material possessions? Not my cup of tea.

She was pretty disappointed when the bubble burst, and said, "I'm only doing what my mother always do." WTF seriously.

Nobody says it was easy.

It was not easy to coordinate 5 events for 3 big group of people when you only have 1 not-so-smart phone. & tonight, there was a blast of issues here and there.

My phone hang 3 times. My fingers went into spasm many times.

But there's one thing I learnt, we cannot please everybody at the same time. Hiccups are inevitable, you just gotta deal with it in the right realm of attitude. No pride, no anger, just more humility and patience.

Honestly, it is not that I have nothing better to do, well I got sheets to spread and rubbish to throw haha just kidding, but it's really about loving people in a way that I can express. You really think it's easy to juggle with different replies from unique individuals? Chill, just saying only~ Try it first before commenting.

All in all, I didnt do some things well, but I did my best. :)

I certainly hope that people will loosen their hearts and enjoy the moment in time to come!

Despite all the issues, I am gratefully thankful for everything! Excited about the whole week of activites!

As far as I remembered, our encounters were always pleasant before I got to know more about you. I didn't believe what people said until I got to experience it. Are all these things gonna revoke all your goodness and cause me to reject you?

I need to adjust my mentality, to see only the goodness of people and embrace their flaws, because someday I need people to do that for me too.

Beauty reveals itself at the worst.

When the bird droppings landed on V's feet, she was the one who kneel down without any hesitation to wipe her feet. The other eight were laughing at the victim. I was one of them. I was so impacted by her humility that I gasped my last breath of laughter to a stop.

She comes from a reputable Indo family, she is branded from head to toe, she has maids and chauffeur to serve her, but humility knows no boundary.

To be honest, I felt ashame of myself. Nevertheless, it is a treasure gained. :)

I wanna be like her, to have the beautiful heart of Jesus :)

It's karma coming back to me.

Sometimes, people try so hard to conceal their anger, but it will never be covered. Communication, spirit to spirit, is the detective. I really hate to acknowledge this suppressed anger, because confrontation would affect the whole atmosphere and acknowledgement is an emotional burden.

After Wednesday final mock critique, more work starts to stream in but ironically, the stress level is at its low. As for the upcoming final Wednesday, it's "make it or break it" situation! Birthday is indeed the day of reflection. A reflection of how much you have sowed in people's lives and a reflection of your importance to people. Starting from end of last year, I made it a point to try my best to organize celebrations for my love ones, or at the very least, prepare a card for them. It is to tell them that they are important to me and I'm honoured to be their friends.

This is the most beautiful couple that I have seen thus far. Even though I don't know them personally, they are so real in their daily life videos or muses.

10 years, and they finally tied the knot.

& know what? It was a God given relationship.

Before viewing 康熙來了, I knew nothing much about them. That episode was so funny and touching! Must watch :)

When I was dying within, it was them who picked me up.

I thank God for these relationships.

I had zero passion about school this semester. I don't know what happened. The inspirational drive is suddenly gone, leaving an empty shell of deadline handler. :( Very much similar to the energy level in the studio, we are all dying inside. I guess this is the game of endurance that they have emphasized since day one.

Another 3 more weeks to endure! O passion, it's not to late to come back to mama!

V's thanksgiving

Things are getting a little private. I have been writing at other virtual scape. If you have access, good for you to stalk me. Hahahahaha.

Last minute decision to RWS, land me with an entry to USS, a wonderful meal at KT Grill and many beautifully composed photos! More than that, I am so thankful for their friendships :) This dinner symbolizes the birthday girl's gratitude to us for surprising her last week on her birthday. It was a thanksgiving night for us :)

(I was guilty of not wanting to turn up initially :| I'm thankful that the tides - brother's sinseh appointment - cleared fast enough for me to rush down that night. I'm glad I was there)

10 March was a renewal of the mind & cleansing of the heart.

11 March is the start of something new.

That evening, I finally told my parents that I am going out to attend cell group meeting. It is the first time that I did not merely say "I am going out now." Over the years, they trust me so much that I don't need to account where am I going, who am I meeting, what am I gonna do, etc. Knowing that committing to the church is something that my parents object, I feel the guilt whenever I go for such meetings. Stepped out of the tent, and told them.

Well, that night, things didn't go easy. But, it hit me so hard that I know I can never do without a relationship with God. I can hardly control my tear ducts when I stepped into the meeting. Bawled my eyes out, during praise. Haha.

Hi, I think I may have split personalities.

I'm different with different group of people.

Comfort mode with masakz.

Reserved with churchies.

Hyped up with coursemates.

Blabber mode with a few individuals.

Serious yet comfortable with another few individuals.

They are all me, but why so different?

Am I wearing multi-concealing masks?

The world, to many, is such a sad place that feeling happy everyday make you out of the place. They asked how can I be so giggly and smiley everyday that they don't see a tinge of sadness in me -.- How do I answer that?! I just feel very happy lor.

The only sadness that I can think of.. comes from staying up to do work, oh and when PMS comes.. But they aren't really sad stuff aye? (What a thing to do, I'm finding emotional issues with myself!)

Well, the crux to happiness is where you place your values and treasures - on the tangible or the intangible.

So to speak, I'm fortunate to live in my bubble of denial, where everything is self-sufficient. Family, friends and most importantly, God. Denial, because self sufficiency is perfection and we don't live in a perfect world.

Just be contented and thankful with what you have.

Last point before I end this no-link-random entry, I apologized, not to concede defeat or to admit that its my fault or whatsoever, I apologized because I love and want this relationship to work.

Oh, I do have a pressing intimidating issue that I need to get delivered of, or at least, of my chest for the moment. Haha.

Today was the best day... of the month.

February has not been exactly fantastic uhh.

1. Tuition was productive!

2. Awesome service. Enlightenment on the renewal of mind. Knowledge of the mind and heart.

"Love isn't love, if it doesn't come from the heart." Indeed. Pastor gave an example of a man stingy at heart, acting generous. The man offered things with struggles within, "Please go ahead and take all you want." If we really help ourselves with the offerings, he may most probably get offended in the inside. I know of people who will bang on others' EQ of knowing what's the appropriate amount to take, & usually people who expect others of it will most probably do it right. Irony.
